Every Child

When there aren’t enough foster homes

There are nearly 400,000 children across the United States impacted by foster care each year. While the priority is to place kids with friends or family to maintain familiar connections until they can be reunited with parents, this isn’t always possible.

And, there simply aren’t enough foster homes across the country to consistently place kids in their school district, with a sibling, or in a therapeutic or culturally relevant home— further disrupting family ties, support systems, and emotional stability for kids in care.

“Only 5% of the population will ever consider becoming foster parents. We have cracked the code.”

– Ben Sand, CEO, The Contingent

We’re closing the gap
(in more ways than one)

The Every Child Initiative is using the Air Game to target foster parent recruitment where the needs are the greatest—not only ensuring more than enough homes for kids in care, but strategic placements that keep kids in their school districts, with their siblings, and in homes that honor their unique needs and cultural backgrounds—preserving family connections, support systems, and emotional well-being.

Every Child not only deserves a loving home,
but the right community support during this difficult time!

Mobilizing Community to Care for Kids and Families

Driven by a passion to support those impacted by foster care, The Contingent’s Every Child initiative started in Oregon and has since expanded nationwide, now serving Arkansas and Tennessee. Today, Every Child’s innovative “Air Game” approach leverages data and technology to engage and mobilize thousands of community members, in partnership with local government agencies and nonprofit organizations, to strengthen the work of the child welfare system and improve outcomes for kids.
