Our Executive Director of National Expansion, Brooke Gray, led Every Child Oregon through it’s growth from 2015-2021, and is now working on bringing the Every Child Model to states across the country.

In her op-ed article, she talks about the digital methods The Contingent has built to be used to recruit foster parents – to great success. The analog methods were bringing in around 200 foster families in Oregon a year. Now, thanks to Every Child partnering with ODHS, there are around 2,000 prospective foster families a year.

Every Child innovated and created a new way of thinking about recruiting foster parents. What other spaces can we innovate to make our communities better? What nonprofits programs could form, be reinvented, or boosted by uses of new creative ways of working?
